It’s a love month for the sponsors here at KB, and I’ve been scanning through and admiring all the pretty, trying not to spend all my money buying everything.
I hope you enjoy!
Name: Sweet Sheep Body Shoppe
What She is All About: Alicia makes luxurious all-natural lotion bars and lip balms using skin-loving ingredients like lanolin, cocoa butter, almond oil, and vitamin E and mango butter. Just reading that makes me want to slather myself in all the good stuff she has in her shop.
A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right: Down by the Bay lotion bar is a citrusy and leafy scent with a hint of sea salt, perfect for pretending that winter isn’t happening. Vanilla Mint lip balm has peppermint oil, which is thought to increase alertness and relieve headaches; and Winter Gardenia lotion bar is a pretty white floral with hints of lilac and jasmine.
Name: Zenitude
What She is All About: Lise weaves, felts, dyes her own yarn and roving, and specializes in bright and happy thrummed kits and self striping sock yarns. And she has an alpaca farm!
A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right: I love this bright pinkish red and blue striped sock yarn, in ‘You Attract What You Are, so Be Your Best!‘ I also think they have some spiderman coolness going on with them, as well. This thrummed mitten kit pairs a lovely bright tortoise roving with a leafy green, and they look so pretty together. Then there is this gorgeous bright roving in gradient orange-lavender- bright pink, which seems like the perfect antidote to a dreary winter.
Name: Tanis Fiber Arts
What She is All About: Tanis has an amazing range of hand dyed yarns in tonal and variegated colourways, all available in a variety of bases and weights. She also has lots of great patterns, and beautiful notebooks and totebags.
A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right: That lovely yarn is the ‘Dove’ colourway, which is a smokey pale grey with shades of lavender and blue; her annual Year in Colour Club has a patterns-only option that just became available (And you can peek at the first pattern of the year!). The Ombre Cardigan is knit with laceweight held double, so it knits up surprisingly quickly and allows for the colours to blend.
Name: Andrea Sanchez Knits
What She is All about: Andrea specializes in a wide range of beautiful, flattering-on-everyone patterns for the whole family, and all patterns have a great size range.
A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right: The adorable Tide Pool pullover is great for little ones from sizes 6 months to 12 years, and is also part of a collection that she put out of 5 adorable kids patterns bundled together for great value, if you like to knit for little ones. The Plum Blossom tee is flattering for a wide range of figures, and is the kind of top that I would wear all year round- underneath a cardigan or a blazer in the winter time, and as a tee in the summer time. Short sleeves aren’t just for summer! Or if you are feeling adventurous, you could add sleeves. The Pugsley hat comes in sizes for babies, toddlers, kids and adults- so if you know anyone who would look this cute in a pug hat, you owe it to them as a gift!
Name: Fuzzy Mitten
What She is All About: Barbara designs some of the cutest stuffed toy patterns around, and has patterns for all sorts of clothing for them, too! They are great value, as every pattern comes with instructions for more than just the animal- there’s always something for them to wear, or an accessory or two.
A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right: The adorable Pug with Anorak, which I knit for Lila when I was on maternity leave and is still one of the cutest little toys I’ve ever made. My latest obsession is her Savannah Chaps collection, which includes the patterns for all three animals ( Zebra, Rhino and Elephant) in one. Then there is the supercute Panda with a t shirt and cape- who says pandas can only be black and white? This adorable little dude would be such a great stash buster for smaller leftover skeins, for the t shirt, cape, and possibly even if you made him a non-traditional colour like blue or purple!
Name: Knit Circus
What She is All About: Jaala specializes in extraordinary long gradient colours, which can be customized for whatever pattern you are thinking of (perfect for sweaters, shawls, or cowls). She also has genius striping gradient sock kits, and some gorgeous cowl and shawl kits in her Etsy shop.
A Few of My Favourite Things, from Left to Right: I love ‘greyellow’ together, and this custom gradient ‘Brass and Steam’ is perfect- plus you can get it in variety of bases, weights, and yardages. That kind of customization is pretty special. These custom gradient striping socks in the Cunning Folk colourway are dyed to match, so both socks come out the same! That’s pretty impressive. you just have to decide if you are starting at the outside or the center of your yarn cakes- you get two, one for each sock. And then the are her lovely handpainted skeins- This is Tiny Princess, a lovely pale lilac to deep purple skein. And because this is Knit Circus, you totally get to choose your base/weight yarn, like always.
There you go- a lovely round up of the latest and greatest in their shops- Please check out the many beautiful things they all have on offer! Do you have any favorites that you see?
