Post Title:  Animal Park and Gardens Customer Service Assistant

Vision: We are looking to recruit a confident, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to staff the Visitor Centre Shop, Café and Animal Park.  Duties will include handling cash, re-stocking, ordering and keeping a record of visitor numbers.  Applicants should be have excellent customer service skills, and will provide visitors with information on all Kingston Maurward activities. You will be required to assist at Kingston Maurward events as and when required, reporting to the Retail and Commercial Marketing Manager. Previous experience in a retail, catering or events, and working with young people is essential. You will also need to demonstrate a good knowledge of safeguarding and working with young and vulnerable people.

Job Purpose: As a member of the Animal Park & Gardens team you will make sure that every visitor leaves with a good impression. You will provide consistently high customer service levels, have a keen interest in retail, events, and catering, and be willing to work in a multi-function capacity.

Hours: 37 hours per week, worked over five days Monday – Sunday to be agreed with flexibility to meet business needs.

Salary: National Minimum Wage according to age. The National Living Wage will apply for those 25 and over and is £13,852.80 per annum.
