Zombie Walk – at Cedar Springs at Throckmorton – get your “Walking Dead” on, by walking with your fellow zombies as you shop, eat and play at the Zombie Walk, a Halloween Block Party on the 3900 block of Cedar Springs. The event features a costume walk, music, food and drink booths. Admission to the party is FREE.

Aurora at Dallas Arts District – this one-night-only event held every other year transforms 19 city blocks in downtown Dallas into an open-air canvas for new-media art: light, video, sound and performance. General admission – FREE. The VIP package includes VIP lounge access, appetizers, drinks and an afterparty featuring Com Truise and a Tycho DJ Set. The VIP tickets cost $150 each.

Backstage Pass: Baron Wolman and the Early Years of Rolling Stone at Arlington Museum of Art – iconic images from Baron Wolman, first director of photography for Rolling Stone, a magazine that claims roots in music, pop culture, and politics. Wolman’s unparalleled access to rock and roll’s heavy hitters of the times helped Rolling Stone guide the creation of the “rock star” persona from performer, to cover model, to music and pop culture icon.Two other music-related exhibits are also on display:Rock and Roll Billboards from the Sunset Strip: Advertising in one of the most musically influential parts of the country, industry executives used images such as the Beatles Abbey Road cover for billboards installed next to rock and toll clubs like the Whiskey-a-Go-Go, the Roxy, and the Key Club that gave a stage to up and coming bands that today enjoy a legendary status. L.A. based photographer Robert Landau brings back the look and feel of the creative genius these temporary works of art.Austin Blues: Cassandra Weyandt spent years photographing musicians who would become some of the best known names in the Austin blues and country music scenes. These sharp, gritty performance photos capture the raw, unpolished feel of the Texas capitol’s bars and clubs where these musical icons performed. State Fair Of Texas! – LAST WEEKEND! This year’s theme is “Passport to Texas,” and special activities will include concerts on the Main Stage and two college football games. D-Town Throwdown – Main Street and Akard Street Dallas, TX 75202 – is the largest skateboarding event in North Texas and the first to include a downhill course through a 13-story garage. This event will also feature a Pro Freestyle Moto Demos, a Pro Vert contest and Street contest – where the top skaters in Texas will compete for $15,000 in cash & prizes. Autumn at The Arboretum at the Dallas Arboretum – 8525 Garland Road Dallas, TX 75218… the highlight of the festival is the nationally acclaimed Pumpkin Village, which is created with more than 75,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash by the talented horticulture team. This year, to continue with the ongoing Texas theme, the display will be recreated into an Old Texas Town in the Pecan Grove.
