The group is widely regarded to be the premier private government practice in the country and has a wealth of talent and experience within the team. We have an intimate knowledge of the Australian political environment, and a strong track record of advising on high profile, commercially complex and strategically important projects.

The role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Lawyer (1-3 years PQE) to join our Public Sector practice group located in Canberra on a full time basis, working with Partner Steven Power on a range of procurement projects for the Department of Defence.

Key responsibilities

This varied and exciting role will see you:

Working with the Corporate team of the Public Sector group on a range of major capital equipment procurements for the Department of Defence.

Drafting Request for Tenders and Acquisition and Sustainment contracts.

Involvement with complex tender evaluations and contract negotiations. Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

General commercial work exposure including drafting skills.

Strong teamwork skills.

Enthusiasm and a desire to learn.

Familiarity with ASDEFCON contracting templates (preferred).
