Sales, Distribution and Business Development plays a vital role in meeting customer needs by offering the right products through the right channels to the right customer segments, thereby maximising value and business revenue. Responsible for achieving sales and revenue objectives and implementing distribution strategy, the team drives the delivery of market leading retail customer experiences.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Customer Service Representative in our Exchange Branch.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Providing account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; selling bank cheques

Controlling cash and negotiable items in adherence to branch cash control and security requirements.

Reconciling cash drawer by proving cash transactions; counting and packaging currency and coins; reconciling other transactions; turning in excess cash; maintaining supply of cash and currency.

Promoting cross-selling opportunities by referring business to appropriate team members.

Answering inquiries and providing superior customer service

Informing customers of new services and product promotions and ascertaining financial needs

Adhering to HSBC compliance standards.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Minimum Higher School Certificate or equivalent certification/education.

A minimum of 6 months face to face customer service experience in retail/ hospitality/financial services industry preferred

General mathematical skills

Previous cash handling experience.

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Customer need focus and strong passion for delivering first-class customer service.

High attention to detail and a proven ability to prioritise workloads.
