Diploma Educator – Pre-school room
South Coogee Learning Centre
We are seeking a qualified, motivated and experienced Early Childhood Diploma Educator for our sixty place Community based long day care centre. The position is in our 4-5 yr old pre-school room. You would be working collaboratively with an Early Childhood trained teacher and a Cert 111 trained educator who are both committed to the provision of high quality care and education. You would be required to document your program, the childrens individual portfolios, and assist with the transition to school program. The room is given sixteen hours per week away from teaching to document and plan the programs.
Our Centre is a community based not for profit centre, managed by an enthusiastic and motivated Parent Management Committee who support visionary practice and are committed to the provision of high quality care and education. We have been operating for over twenty years and are based near the beach in South Coogee. We are highly regarded in the community for our emphasis on providing a warm nurturing environment for the children and working in strong partnership with families. We have a beautiful, innovative natural outdoor setting where children play amongst the trees, gardens, chickens, sand pits and mud baths.

The successful candidate must have
Demonstrated experience within an early childhood education setting;
Diploma (or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification);
Certificate in First Aid (including current annual CPR certificate)
Certificate in Asthma Awareness/ Management
Certificate in Anaphylaxis Awareness/ Management
Current Working With Children Check
Demonstrated knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
