Innovation Project Manager
Research, Development, & Engineering

Job Overview:
Our Research and Development team continues to strive to develop new product ideas that will benefit our extensive customer base in food and beverage processing, food hygiene and farm sectors. The Innovation Project Manager is a critical member of the team.
Main Responsibilities:
Partnering with the marketing team and providing thought leadership
Managing the innovation pipeline, focusing on project deployment and field testing
Managing a portfolio of projects ensuring their completion on time and to budget
Developing local adaptations of global innovations
Leading cross divisional teams for projects that commercialise new products or systems that increase Ecolabs market share or improve our profit margins
Hands on management of innovation projects
Acting as the R&D contact for the ongoing maintenance of existing products
Acting as the R&D contact for raw material sourcing and product formula optimisation
Managing strategies and plans including timing for project work
Providing expert technical support to our Sales and Supply Chain teams
Managing a small team
Key Skills/Qualifications:
Extensive experience as a Senior Chemist, Microbiologist or Engineer
Exposure to the food and beverage processing sector would be highly regarded, including dairy, brewery, farm, food processing and protein
Tertiary qualification in chemistry, microbiology, chemical engineering or a related scientific/technical discipline
Experience in delivering new products to market within a commercial product development environment
Experience in innovation pipeline management
Excellent end to end project management skills
Team management experience or alternatively experience mentoring junior staff with a strong desire to manage a team.
Good attention to detail, consistent follow through and reliable documentation skills.
