Part-time – 3 Year Fixed Term Contract

Geelong Grammar School is one of the worlds leading coeducational boarding and day schools offering exceptional education to all of its students, from Early Learning to Year 12. We believe in and actively promote the importance of student and staff wellbeing and are recognised internationally as the leader in the development and implementation of Positive Education.

Positive Education brings together the science of positive psychology with best practice teaching to encourage and support schools and individuals to flourish. All our staff receive training in Positive Psychology and Positive Education is an integral part of the academic curriculum from Year 5 to 10. To build on our exciting and significant progress thus far, we seek to appoint a Research Fellow to design, oversee and promote research into the impact of Positive Education at the School.

This part- time role (15 hours per week) is based at our Corio campus, near Geelong. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a post graduate qualification in a wellbeing-related discipline that is focussed on research and program evaluation (qualitative and quantitative). They will have a proven ability to manage a major research project, to evaluate specific programs and outstanding communication skills required to produce conference presentations, research reports and papers for publication.
