THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for passionate individuals to apply their extensive train driving experience to work within a progressive organisation that is building the future of transport across greater Sydney and regional NSW.

Regional Drivers play a vital role in making NSW TrainLink a safe, efficient and customer orientated passenger rail organisation. The role of a Regional Driver will allow you to expand your knowledge of the rail network, gain further practical driving experience and develop your skills in communication, problem solving, learning new technology and networking.

Opportunities currently exist in Canberra for current and / or previously qualified train drivers with a minimum 5 years driving experience and who have a current certification in NSW safe-working.  An eligibility list may be created for vacancies at other locations in the South.

Successful applicants will work 76 hours per fortnight within a rotating fortnightly roster, including shift work, weekends and public holidays. As part of this position it is expected for you to travel and stay overnight at NSW TrainLink destinations. Additional hours may also be requested at short notice.
