What Youll Do:
Continuing with DSIs focus on company cohesion, this Solutions Engineer will partner with DSI personnel (Regional Directors, Account Executives, Product Management, Professional Services, Engineering, etc.) to support the selling activities related to software, hardware, and services components. Aspects of this will include preparing and delivering DSI software product demonstrations, hardware demonstrations complimentary to DSI solutions, and proposed solution presentations.
Reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering, this Solutions Engineer will be an integral member of our global sales organization. It will be necessary for all candidates to possess excellent communication and presentation skills, strong gap analysis and problem-solving skills, and a future thinking, innovative mindset.
Heres a closer look at your primary responsibilities:
Partner with DSI sales opportunity team members (Account Executives, Product Management, Professional Services, Engineering, etc.) to support the strategic direction, tactical execution and software, hardware and services components of a solution proposal.
Perform DSI product and supported hardware demonstrations to prospective clients, with the ability to convey DSIs products capabilities to a mixed audience including representatives from the technical, operational and executive levels.
Discuss the architectural components of DSIs solutions including the software, hardware and networking capabilities and requirements.
Conduct site surveys of prospective clients to understand business processes, opportunities for optimization of those processes and areas for DSI software integration. Follow-up on findings including preparing and delivering customized presentations that address identified opportunities.
Assist with completing components of prospect RFIs and RFPs.
Participate in hand-off session between pre-sales and post-sales organizations.
Attend partner seminars and trade shows to perform presentations to customers, prospects, and business partners.
Keep abreast of industry developments and movements.
Travel for on-site client, partner and trade show activities.
Communicate client needs/requests to the rest of the organization and identify ability to address those needs with current DSI capabilities or address needs with future roadmap plans.
You Have:
5+ years with Supply Chain Management software experience. Exposure and knowledge of mobility solutions is a plus.
Familiarity with or in partnership of Oracle EBS, SAP, or JD Edwards ERP software.
Possess strong industry and technical knowledge to be able to support customers complex business processes around automation of those processes activities with ERP environments.
Able to perform presentations to various professional levels of internal and client audiences.
ERP design, implementation, or programming background.
Data manipulation experience with SQL; along with database programming experience with PL/SQL.
Use or programming of data collection (bar coding / RFID) or mobile hardware (iOS / Android / Windows Mobile).
Bachelors degree in IT or Computer Science field or equivalent work experience.
Any technical certifications or vocational training in related fields would be pluses.
