The Retail Facilities Management team is accountable for the delivery of responsive and cost effective property maintenance services, ensuring our work environments are safe and compliant and present the Group’s brand to its best standard.
The primary focus of the Retail Facilities Manager is to maintain effective working relationships with the teams within Group Property as well as across each business unit occupying space within the retail network. The role is also accountable for the efficient operational management of all leasehold and freehold branches, business banking, Agribusiness, area offices, ATM’s and residences within a designated portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the effective delivery of property services within your designated portfolio.
Manage and audit the performance of appointed external service providers to ensure that the delivery of services generally meets or exceeds agreed standards and SLA’s.
Effective property and facilities management including repairs and maintenance, minor capital works, lease management.
Assessment of risks as they arise and implementation of risk management plans where required to address emergency property situations as well as health and safety risks.
Ensure lessors adhere to all lease obligations.
Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts, identify and execute opportunities to make cost savings, or free up funds to invest elsewhere in portfolio.
Build strong internal and external relationships through the use of stakeholder management techniques and customer service skills.
Key skills and qualifications:
Experience in the management and administration of service contracts.
Exceptional customer service and problem solving skills with a can-do attitude.
Sound understanding of real estate terminology, tenure and key lease terms and conditions.
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a related business discipline preferred.
Experience in using DMAIC and Lean Six Sigma will be considered favourably, but not essential.
Knowledge of Project, Change Management and Productivity principles and methods.
Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel) is essential.
Highly developed negotiation, influencing and communication skills.
