IBM’s Transformation and Operations team creates quality business solutions
for some of the world’s largest companies.

As a Category Lead within Global Process Services a division of IBM Australia
you will be responsible for leading Strategic Sourcing project teams in
sourcing/purchasing goods and services as well as undertaking Vendor
Management activities associated with managing commercial relationships with
Vendors on behalf of an IBM client.

You will be responsible for Category Management activities which includes
Sourcing and Vendor Management. In particular you will be responsible for
detailed analysis and synthesis of inte
al requirements for particularly complex goods and services, and analysis of
complex exte
al suppliers and markets and the commercial management of vendor agreements.
You will be accountable for the end to end delivery of procurement activity in
accordance with established procedures and controls.

Ideally you will have proven experience in one or more of the following
categories. However, if you do not have experience in these categories please
still apply as we will still strongly consider applicants that are strong in
other areas or have the right non category related skills.

Skills Required:

• Procurement professional with a minimum 1+ years Procurement background at
an enterprise level

• Strong skills in managing competitive tenders and successfully negotiating
outcomes

• Highly developed influencing skills and stakeholder management skills

• Demonstrated ability and experience managing commercial relationships with
suppliers and driving performance

• Proven ability working in a highly process driven environment

• Excellent high level written and verbal communication and presentation
skills

• Strong customer service mentality

• Highly driven self-starter with proficient time management, planning and
organisation skills

• The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with
client, peer groups, stakeholders will be the key to success in this role.
