Reporting in to the Executive Manager, you will assist the team who are responsible for auditing a broad range of CommBank’s businesses covering the CommInsure, Colonial First State, Colonial First State Global Asset Management & Advice businesses, as well as Commonwealth Bank Group Super.

MORE SPECIFICALLY, YOU WILL:

* Assist the Executive Manager (EM) in building a dynamic, risk-based Audit Plan and to appropriately capture key and emerging risks.
* In line with the CBA Internal Audit Methodology, oversee effective and efficient assurance to enable complete and collaborative delivery of the Wealth Management Audit Plan and the overall CBA & BW GA&A Plan.
* When Team Leading an audit, effectively resource audits, manage the audit budget, draft the Audit Planning Memo (APM) for EM review and chair team meetings.
* Supervise and deliver assigned scope areas or audits in line with department expected standards and timeframes.
* Administer audits within the audit electronic workflow system, PAWS, including documentation, key date fields, audit status and approval of key audit stage-gates, as required.
* Draft issues and agree factual accuracy and ratings with the customer. Support the EM in presenting Very High and High rated issues to the customer.
* Prepare simple, pragmatic and easy to read reporting for the EM to review, including audit reports, issue logs, Group Executive reports and inputs into Audit Committee reports.
* Support the Quality Assurance (QA) Program as required, including timely and effective delivery of QA file reviews and address feedback quickly and effectively.
* Use analytics during audits/reviews, to drive audit efficiency and deeper finance insights (i.e. analytics lead-in reviews and KRI monitoring to drive audit scope and targeted audit testing).

WHAT SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE:

* Relevant Tertiary Degree.
* Internationally recognised auditing or professional accounting qualification.
* Financial services industry knowledge and experience, particularly in the financial planning industry, gained either in industry or professional services firms.
* Extensive knowledge of, and experience in, internal auditing, risk management strategies and techniques or practical. experience in financial planning roles.
* Demonstrated ability in building strong customer relationships based on credibility, rapport and trust.
* Demonstrated ability in deriving commercial insights.
