Group Property are responsible for a large and diverse portfolio of land and buildings, both operational and non-operational.
Working within Group Property, you will report to the Manager Corporate Services and will be responsible for leading and managing a team providing specialist leasing, operations and facilities management expertise and advice.
You will be required to review systems, process and resources to provide a framework to manage the Leasing and Operation and Facility Management functions aligning the portfolio with Sydney Waters business objectives, financial capabilities and operational needs. Your ability to identify, evaluate and mitigate risk will be essential as you work to implement a structured services offering.
You will be responsible for the delivery of a number of strategic and complex projects and land holdings, all accommodation safety management, development of frameworks to address high volumes of access requests and public enquiries.
You will be required to respond to Management, Board and Ministerials and will work collaboratively with the portfolio management team and other divisions across Sydney Water.
You will need to have high level stakeholder management and problem solving skills with the ability to negotiate and communicate at executive level.
You need to be a tertiary qualified, innovative and self-motivated, Commercial Facilities Manager with a private sector track record and experience in consulting with State Government and Local Councils.
Experience dealing with probity and contracts management would be considered an advantage.
You need to have the following skills and experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Business or Property Management.
A background in senior level management.
A minimum of ten years experience in commercial facilities management.
Previous experience in establishing the framework for a new business.
High level experience with financial management and cost control.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Experience dealing with senior executives in Local Councils and Government authorities.
Strong commercial acumen and business understanding.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Able to think laterally and build trust with stakeholders.
Legal qualifications and background would be desirable.
