The Associate 1 role is responsible for ensuring all portfolios are priced on MCH accounting and Recordkeeping systems accurately and timely to ensure correct application of securities priced to the fund.

Job Description

The Security Valuations CoE is responsible for ensuring all securities in the APAC region are valued using a current market price or evaluation. This service is provided to both fund accounting and middle office clients across the APAC region. The Security Valuations CoE works closely with clients and investment managers as well as internal clients such as the fund accounting groups, Corporate Actions, Investment Analytics and Tax teams. This is an opportunity for you to learn about different asset types, follow market trends, and understand impact of corporate actions and other market events affecting the pricing of a security. You will also be exposed to different State Street systems and work with people from our offices in HK, Singapore and Tokyo.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a current student to gain hands on experience and build a career in financial service.

Responsibilities

Be able to perform all security pricing processes including price sourcing and verification

Perform functions utilising various systems including MCH, RKS, EPW, Bloomberg, Reuters

Respond promptly to internal and external client queries, and ensure timely resolution

Perform oversight functions to tasks offshored or outsourced

Ensure full understanding and adherence to corporate Risk Policy and Standard Operating Procedures

Education & Skills

Undergraduate accounting/ finance or economics degree and/or formal qualifications in a relevant business stream

Experience working in financial services or in a client service focused position desirable

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong research and problem solving skills

Be a strong team player and demonstrate dedication to group and company goals

Demonstrate professional maturity and effective time management
