Security Reporting Analyst

We are currently seeking a Security Reporting Analyst with a passion for security, analysis, threats, vulnerabilities, and risk assessments do you want to join our team?

This position is for you if you demonstrate a passion for information security and have a desire to become a member of an elite team of security professionals.

The Reporting Analyst will perform a variety of real-time threat analysis activities. This includes applying analytical, reasoning, and technical security expertise to documented security incidents in order to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and recommend an approach to reduce risk and business impact.

In this position you will be able to describe the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, exposures, misconfigurations, and be responsible for thinking of ways to protect our customers.

What we expect you to do

The Security Reporting Analyst will liaise with local and remote resources in multiple time zones to successfully ensure delivery timely and informational reporting services to our clients, as well as follow-on review and discussion as needed by the customer to ensure complete understanding.

The Reporting Analyst will take a consultative approach to understand the customers environment and security posture, and apply the MSS reported security incidents, outages, and escalations to document their current threats, trends, and actions and/or risk acceptance.

Provide customer trending experience to assist SOC analysts in delivery of security analysis, investigations, reporting, and tuning efforts.

*

Ensure SLAs are met by the team in accordance with contracted deliverables.

*

Leading the team with guidance, mentoring, and development of future reporting team associates as the MSS business grows globally.

*

May assist analyst and engineering team members to perform follow-on root cause analysis and improvement plans.

*

Manage and report on the teams performance including morale, mentoring and coaching.

*

Ensure the reporting alignment with overall business objectives to help manage customer expectations.

*

Be a subject matter expert across the business security monitoring service.

Reports to Manager MSS Response Services

Here’s what we are looking for in candidates for this job

You have a broad knowledge of Security technologies and products (e.g. SIEM systems, Security Analytics, end-point protection solutions, firewall technology, IPS, WAF, etc.), along with customer-facing skills in presentation and information conveyance.

Must have:

*

Fluent English – Outstanding business and technical writing skills including the ability to edit and publish deliverables for internal and external customer and media consumption.

*

A degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering, or the equivalent experience

*

Experience as a security analyst or technical writer

*

Knowledge of hacking techniques, vulnerabilities, and security trends

*

Understanding of application layer network protocols, common host and network security tools and core Internet protocols

*

Understanding of the Internet threat landscape including targeted and persistent threats, various malware families, botnets, and DDoS attacks

*

Solid knowledge of network security monitoring solutions such as IDS, IPS, netflow and packet capture technologies

*

Understanding of SIEM, IDP/IPS, attack analysis, malware analysis, network forensics, computer forensics, and a broad range of skills in LAN technologies, Windows and Linux O/Ss, and general security infrastructure

*

Experience with computer security incidents

*

Experience in publishing technical material for customer consumption

Highly Desirable:

Industry Certifications: CISSP, CRISC, CISA, SANS / GIAC GCIH, GCIA, ECSA, CEH, CHFI
