About the Role:

St Vincents Health Australia, Sydney is looking for a Level 2 / 3 Desktop Services Officer as part of a five person on site Desktop Services team located at Darlinghurst providing support for an extensive range of clinical and business applications across St Vincents Hospital (Public), St Vincents Private Hospital, Mater Hospital and St Josephs Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join one of Australias elite healthcare organisations.

The successful applicant should have the ability to work effectively alone and contribute to a busy team environment combined with well developed problem solving skills and a strong customer focus is essential. Appropriate training will be provided as required

Duties:

Answering technical support calls from internal users as required

Log all calls into the Call Tracking System clearly and accurately

Resolve the issue immediately (i.e. Remote skills) where possible

Maintaining Active Directory 2008 entries

On site Desktop Support resolving issues escalated from the Help Desk

Investigating Hardware faults, diagnosing software issues and providing on the ground support to users

PC, Notebook and printer installs and print server management

Ensure customers are aware of the correct processes and procedures

Smart mobile devices

Vendor liaison

About the Candidate:

The candidate must have:

TAFE IT qualifications or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years experience in an onsite Desktop Support role

Sound understanding of Microsoft Active Directory

Sound understanding of Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7

Sound understanding of Microsoft Office Products 2010-2013

Excellent verbal communication skills and professional phone manner

Strong customer focus

Experience in a healthcare environment (desirable)
