The site is a showcase of the best local businesses the city has to offer restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, shopping, health and beauty sharing our top spots with authenticity and credibility, courtesy of our talented team of marketing, editorial, sales and design professionals.

The Content Marketing Executive is a vibrant and diverse role, working with both the Content Manager and the Marketing Manager to build The Urban List audience, to deliver exceptional results for our clients, and to create high-calibre online content.

Day-to-day, you will be:

Working closely with our clients to create strategic, creative online content

Contributing editorial content and managing our hand-selected database of business listings

As well as assisting the marketing manager to implement creative, effective marketing campaigns.

The successful candidate will be ambitious and collaborative, with the initiative to take ownership of projects, and will work with the team to achieve goals and contribute to business growth.

As a start up organisation, culture is critical. We are looking for a Content Marketing Executive who shares our passion for The Urban List, is eager to work in environment where growth and change happens daily, and where collaboration and communication is key.

REPORTS TO

Content Manager or Marketing Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the Partnerships team to create effective sponsored content, to ensure seamless integration of paid content on site and optimum client satisfaction and results.

Generate innovative editorial ideas and content, as well as writing, uploading, and moderating stories

Assist in the management of The Urban List database of business listings, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Support the Marketing Manager to implement effective B-to-B and B-to C marketing campaigns, including social media marketing, SEO, eDMs, retargeting and writing case studies.

Develop proficiency across all Urban List systems, including CMS, CRM, eMarketing, Google Analytics and project management platforms.

Be actively aware of potential business development opportunities.

Conduct insightful market research and competitor analysis.

Be actively involved in social activities, attending functions and events as a brand ambassador for The Urban List.

Administrative duties to support the function of the office, as required.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Min. 2 years experience in a marketing or public relations role (agency experience a plus).

Attention to detail and a desire to deliver work of the highest calibre.- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Enthusiastic demeanoractively engaged in generating and executing ideas.

Strong organisational skills and time management.

Actively engaged with local happenings and activities, with the ability to translate these into editorial or business opportunities.

Proactive, enthusiastic learner, dedicated to building skills and expertise in digital media and marketing.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Drupal and other CMS/eCommerce platforms a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Public Relations or Journalism.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Full-time, permanent position with a 3-month probation period.
