Manage and enhance the ICT project management capability.
Information Technology Services (ITS) provides corporate IT services to ANU staff, students and visitors in support of achieving excellence in research, teaching and public policy. These services include network, communications, computing platforms, data storage, desktop and mobile access, enterprise systems, student learning environments, and IT security. The work of ITS is coordinated with services provided within and by University Colleges and other Service Divisions to form a cohesive, University-wide information services infrastructure.
Position overview
The Manager, PMO will provide strategic leadership, expertise, advice, service development and co-ordination to the portfolio of information technology projects across the University. This position will oversee the implementation and operation of a range of underlying support services, embedding a holistic and comprehensive approach to project management; and ensuring that projects are aligned with University strategy and executed in accordance with appropriate governance, controls and quality assurance.
The Manager, PMO is responsible for three broad functions: portfolio, program and project management; enterprise and solution architecture; and business analysis and testing. As a member of the ITS executive, this position will support and report to the Director, Information Technology Services; participate in specialist committees as a subject matter expert, and accept responsibly for the delivery of targeted strategic projects.
The successful candidate must have a proven track record in portfolio and project management working within a complex environment with outstanding leadership and the drive to succeed. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to engage with key stakeholders and vendors.
