JOB DESCRIPTION
Join an international bank working in a key function supporting the origination function of the institutional bank, you will need some good financial modelling,analysis and credit writing skills. Experience of natural resources or property a plus but not essential. A great opportunity to set your self on the right track to become a VP in the near term.
As part of this firms Asia Pac expansion we are looking for a high calibre individual to join an institutional banking team to work on complex financing projects in the natural resources and property sectors. Our client is a strong name in international banking which is committed to further expansion of its already successful business in Australia. This company is highly regarded globally and has a high position in the M&A league tables and has a long track record in the natural resources sector. The bank has a true global reach and offers clients access to a very broad range of exciting capital markets products and innovative financing solutions.
You will be part of a small but highly productive team where your key responsibility will be supporting a senior director in a varied role including financial analysis of new business, financial modeling, writing credit papers and generally supporting the origination of new business. The successful candidate will be hired at the associate level so they will need to have already gained three or more years working in a related environment. There will be lots of scope for meaningful client contact and the development of relationships.
To be a person of interest you will need to exhibit the following attributes:
Strong record in tertiary education.
Outstanding analytical talent
Track record in thinking for yourself
Understanding of what makes a business successful
Ability to communicate effectively in English and make presentations to senior clients
Experience of working on large scale IB deals.
You will need to have work experience gained in the following environments,
Institutional banking – Natural resources /top tier property financing would be well received but other sector experience will be considered
Corporate finance practice perhaps in a large Chartered firm transaction services or M&A.
