Manager, Banking and Capital Markets – Actuarial, Melbourne

As an actuarial professional, you’ll work closely with clients’ actuarial functions to assess their effectiveness and help them identify opportunities for improvement. Working alongside talented colleagues as part of a high-performing team, you’ll help clients adopt new financial reporting standards and support mergers and acquisitions.

About the opportunity
In your role as a Manager you’ll:
Support our leaders in the delivery of advisory and risk engagements for banks, superannuation funds, asset managers, corporate treasuries and commodity exposed companies
Build valuable relationships with clients and other EY colleagues in other service offerings.
Build upon your already strong capabilities, through challenging engagements and working with senior mentors and talented colleagues
Assist in the development and delivery of thought leadership material
Work effectively as a team member managing the delivery of engagements, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and mentoring consultants and senior consultants
About you
We’re looking for people with the following:
5-7 years experience in either one or a combination of market, credit, investment, operational, treasury and commodity risk modelling at a leading organisation.
Strong knowledge of the challenging landscape and leading approaches applied to measuring and managing those risks, including mathematical techniques
Tertiary qualifications in Mathematics, Actuarial, Engineering or a related discipline or have fully completed your CFA
Likely operational and implementation experience with leading risk management systems
Business consulting experience would be advantageous as well as well developed teaming and mentoring skills
