- – An Application Quality Consultant engages on short term pre – sales and
post – sales projects with the objective of improving application quality
assurance capabilities for our clients
– This is carried out through the assessment of current state environments
and applying deep QA domain skills to propose improvements that will elevate
the quality and efficiency of the client’s QA organization and its output
– Typical areas targeted for post – sale improvement include process
streamlining, tools optimization, organizational re – structuring, test
strategy improvement, roll out of new processes such as agile or dev ops,
implementation of new KPI’s and management dashboards, shift left activities,
etc
– The identification of improvements areas will often be identified following
process maturity assessments, defect root cause analyses, test artifact
reviews and other investigative methods
– The deployment of Application Quality Consultants in the pre – sales phase
with the intention of improving win rate probabilities will include activities
such as proofs of concept, impact assessments, solutioning and other ‘fit for
purpose’ exercisesCandidates must be prepared to do much of their work on
client site – All candidates must of backgrounds of at least 3 years in
business and / or technology consulting and have demonstrated the ability to
understand project requirements as well as a client’s organizational and
technical environments in very short order
Candidates must demonstrate proven success in defining and implementing
process or technology improvements for clients
Candidates must have deep application QA knowledge acquired over a period of
at least 5 years with an IT services company of a company that contracts QA
services
Candidate must have has led at least a mid – sized testing organization ( 10
people) for a specific project or as part of an on – going QA service
Candidates must be able to converse with mid to high level client QA leaders
as peers
Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well
as very refined analytical skills
Quality method experience such as Six Sigma or project certifications such as
PmP or PgMP are a plus
Technical SkillsCandidates must have working knowledge of core QA tools such
as HP ALM, UFT and Performance Center, Selenium, WorkSoft, Jira, Appium, CA
Lisa, etc
Candidates must have strong understanding of specialized testing processes, ie
– Automation, performance, security, etc
Candidates must have strong working knowledge of at least one application
technology, ie – Package s / w (SAP, Oracle, SFDC, etc) or technologies (Java,
(dot) Net, etc)
