Teemac builds user friendly tools that help higher education institutes with
the management of admissions, courses, resource scheduling, student
performance tracking, placements, teacher feedback, flipped classrooms,
knowledge bases, quality audits and interdisciplinary research. The tools are
built with immense focus on user-friendliness. We are looking for a full stack
developer who is proficient at PHP, and Javascript to join our development
team at Pune.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in modern, well-tested object-
oriented PHP and Javascript development. You will have strong communication
skills and be comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment. You
will be familiar with the best practises for building resilient, secure
applications and should have experience of the following:
Primary skills required:
* Loves building web applications, end to end!
* Laravel or a similar PHP MVC framework ( Symfony 2, Zend).
* Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks: Mithril.js (preferred), React, or Angular. ECMAScript 6 is a plus!
* Sound knowledge of building front-ends powered by REST APIs.
* Design patterns and SOLID design principles.
* MySQL
* Unit testing with PHPUnit or similar.
* Good knowledge of MVC architecture for the front-end.
* Good knowledge of HTML and CSS.
* Good knowledge with Version Control using Git.
* Good UNIX fundamentals: Apache/OpenSSL/Package management
* Familiarity with Bootstrap/Foundation frameworks is a plus.
* Familiarity with SASS is a plus.
Key responsibilities:
* Work closely with our clients, and the rest of the product team to deliver secure web applications with functional, pragmatic and visually appealing user interfaces.
* Design, build, and support customer facing web applications.
* Analyze and recommend technologies as needed, with risk-benefit analysis.
* Develop front-end features that are responsive, and cross browser compatible.
* Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
* Optimize application for performance and scalability.
* Assure backend security, including input validation, resilience against XSS etc.

* Must have a strong work ethic.
* Must be detail oriented, a fast learner, and a self-starter.
* Coordinate with end users for User Acceptance Testing.
* Ability to quickly respond to critical issues and changes in requirements.
* Good English communication skills.
