Interactive One caught up with Roland Martin at the NAACP Image Awards Luncheon in Hollywood this weekend and he gave George Zimmerman some much-needed advice. When asked about his tacky “Celebrity Boxing Match” against rapper DMX, the “NewsOne Now” host said everyone involved needs to find a seat and sit their behinds down!

“Go sit your ass down or you need to have your ass in jail because you are guilty,” Martin said of Trayvon Martin’s killer. “I’m not watching that crap. There ain’t no way in hell I’d watch that. And he’s not a celebrity! DMX needs to sit his behind down and say I’m not participating in that.”

Luckily for us, before Zimmerman or DMX had the opportunity to take heed to Martin’s advice, boxing promoter Damon Feldman called off the controversial fight today.

“I want to thank everyone for the good n bad comments I’ve made the choice to cancel the fight w George Zimmermann more to life than money,” Feldman tweeted to his 5,000 followers. “All you people are right.”

In an interview with RadarOnline.com, Feldman added he wants “nothing to do with it.”

“It’s my decision to cancel the fight. After I saw my son and daughter today I really thought about what happened. I had a change of heart,” he said. “I could have made 2 million dollars here…but there’s too much controversy and death threats and more.”

We are glad to see at least one party came to their senses and listened to Martin’s words of wisdom. The well-respected journalist also left a special message for pop star bad boy Justin Bieber: “Sit your ass down too!”
