If you have the balls to name your new mascara the “False Lash Epic Mascara” you’d better make sure it lives up to the expectations. After all you can’t just go throwing the word “epic” around unless you’re ready to deliver purple quality. Not green. Not blue. Purple*. Time to find out if Max Factor succeeded!
* if you know what the heck I’m talking about: greetings, fellow MMORPGer.

The new Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara (24.90 CHF) has a special zoom-action tip and promises to capture and magnify every single lash to give you bigger, bolder lashes no matter your lash type.

Funky looking brush, huh? It kind of reminds me of a stretched-out blow fish with flat sides and a morning star attached to its head. Looks hella cool. But it did take me some time to get used to it and I may or may not have poked myself in the eye a couple times before familiarizing myself with the brush.

So are the results worth a few pokes in the eye? You be the judge:

✿ cheeks: Estée Lauder Genuine Glow Sweet Cheeks Blushing Creme ✿
✿ eyes: Coastal Scents Vibrant Lime Green + Root Beer + Pomegranate Red ✿

✿ lips: Estée Lauder Genuine Glow Reviving Oil Lip Tint ✿

To be honest I’m getting pretty much the same length and volume from the Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara as I get from my other mascaras. So in that regard there’s not really anything epic about it. But the special zoom-action tip does make it a little easier to grab the short lashes in my inner eye corners and curl those hard-to-reach outer lashes.

Bottom line? The Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara isn’t exactly a purple drop, but it’s a good solid blue and so I’ll be storing it in my bank for further use.

Have you tried the new Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara yet? What is your favorite mascara?
