Tonight I made my last dinner in this house. I chose homemade pizza, a favorite around here. Not just regular pizza, but homemade pizza plus dessert fruit pizza. These pizzas meant every single dish (that’s not already in a box) was dirty on the counter. All. The. Dishes. It also meant we ate a LOT and now I’m feeling super full and also the baby is doing something to my insides. Ow, baby. Stop that.
Tomorrow is our last day in this house as we know it. Friday, the papers will be signed, a Penske truck will arrive and every box will leave. Our house, a shell, all the memories packed up in boxes. I’m still sort of in denial. But I HAVE PACKED. Maybe not tonight, when I started having stomach pains and then also got to watching Scandal. But other than tonight, I have been packing. I have packed. I will be packing. Soon we will be having video tours of the old house and the new house. I can’t wait! That would be in all caps, but I think I’ve all caps-ed out. No, that can’t be true. I CAN’T WAIT.
