I'm not usually a 'cut and paster', but today I am.  Helloooo holiday weekend. These are in chronological order, and may be refreshing without my snarky comments woven in..

Kirkland Wednesday Market Returns to Marina Park: 6/1

The Kirkland Wednesday Market is continuing its 15 year tradition by bringing over 50 vendors to downtown Kirkland starting June 1 and running through September 28th from 2pm to 7pm. This year promises to be better than ever with the addition of more food vendors, local wineries and entertainment. Although the focus is still on local farmers and locally produced items that feature Washington sourced and crafted food and artisanal goods, there will more varied vendors than ever before.

With new market managers, Rochelle Haberl and Storey Hahn, there are many new features to the market this year. Sponsors such as MyICON, the naming sponsor, have provided funding to allow additional program support such as the POP program. POP is the Power of Produce, an educational program for youth to learn about healthy options for food choices at farmer’s markets.

Opening day has two featured bands: KiMS Jazz Band and Marilyn and the G-Strings. There will also be reusable shopping bag giveaways and more surprises. Visitors are encouraged to walk, carpool, bus, boat or use the public parking lot at the Library to access the market since parking is often full at the marina. After 5pm the City Hall lot is also available. Join us this summer because dinner on Wednesday is FRESH in Kirkland.

BENEFITING: KIRKLAND DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION

If you could advertise your business 365 days a year to pedestrians in Kirkland, would you do it? Do you want to show you really care about your community? Then do this! It will take 5 minutes of your time and last all year long! The Kirkland Downtown Association (a 501c3 non-profit) is responsible for these pots through the generous giving of our community. Be sure to include what you want written on your plaque in your details! Ideas: Combine multiple names or businesses to come up with $250, honor your family members, give as a gift for the person who has everything, or promote your business.
