Glen Coe
Not so much an attraction as a destination, Glen Coe should be on the list of any avid traveller. Located north of Glen Coe, Aonach Eagach provides the perfect perch to take in the stunning scenery. The Pap of Glen Coe lies at the western edge of Aonach Eagach, the pap overlooks the joining of the river Coe and Loch Leven.

Smoo Cave
Located on the eastern edge of the village of Durness, Smoo Cave is a popular attraction receiving over 40,000 visitors a year. Estimated to have formed 485 million years ago, the cave is a fine example of Ordovician time period and therefore a destination for archaeology enthusiasts.
Fairy Pools
Found on the Isle of Skye, the fairy pools are a sight that continues to amaze both locals and tourists alike. These aquamarine pools are noted for their vibrant colours, vivid surrounding wildlife as well as their rocky formation – making them the ideal destination for gorge walking enthusiasts.

Castle of Mey
Situated in Caithness of the Orkney Isles, the Castle of Mey is the property of the British Royal Family. The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay (Charles and Camilla) visit the castle for the last ten days of July and the beginning of August. With the recent arrival of their grand-daughter, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, there is speculation that the Castle of Mey may be the perfect spot this summer to get a peek at the princess!

Ardessie Falls
Near the seaside hamlet of Camusnagaul are the spectacular Ardessie Falls. A short and steep walk to undertake, following the path to the Ardessie Falls guarantees tranquillity and rewarding views of the beautiful Loch Broom on a clear day. Be aware that the footpath to the falls is worn and often slippery from rainfall, so the correct footwear is strongly advised.
Loch Ness
Of course, no trip to the Scottish Highlands would be complete without a trip to Loch Ness. Infamous for its tales of the legendary beast, Nessie, this beautiful loch is 52 feet above sea level and spans the course of 56.2 square kilometres. This freshwater loch is home to a range of aqua-life including European eels, Arctic chars and Atlantic salmon.
Eilean Donan
Located at Dornie, Kyle of Lochalsh, the magnificent grounds of Eilean Donan are a short distance away from the city of Inverness. Noted in popular culture as the backdrop for hit TV series, Outlander, Eilean Donan castle is not to be missed! The grounds of the property span over one hectare and offer up both beautiful formal grounds as well as rich tales of Scottish History.
