The Umhlanga Sands Resort can be found at 44 Lagoon Drive, Umhlanga Rocks, on the doorstep of the Indian Ocean. The Umhlanga Sands Resort is self-catering with units consisting of bedrooms, lounge area, bathrooms and a small kitchen. It is equipped with many of the essential household items to provide a holiday with home comforts. The Umhlanga Sands is not fully self-catering though. The resort provides cleaning services for the rooms and houses its own restaurants, salon and entertainment centre. All of the rooms at the Umhlanga Sands have views of the sea. Check-in time can be done from 2 in the afternoon and guests must check out before 10 in the morning. Check-out time can be extended upon request and availability of the room. The units at the Umhlanga Sands can only be booked out in weekly periods, from Saturday to Saturday. The 197 standard Tugela units sleeps four people and has a main room with a king sized bed and second open plan bedroom with 2 single beds. These rooms also have a bathroom with both a bathtub and shower. Comes with a kitchenette.
The 40 superior St Lucia units have a main bedroom with a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom. There is also a second separate bathroom with 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom. These rooms come with a sleeper couch in the lounge, and a kitchenette.

Spur- is a nationally recognized restaurant brand. The Umhlanga Sands houses the Miami Spur branch and is open from around 10 in the morning until 10 at night. During the weekends the restaurant opens a bit earlier and closes a bit later.
M&A Restaurant
Coco’s- is a lounge and bar open from 4 in the afternoon until midnight. It provides bar snacks, cocktails and nightly music and comedic entertainment. Acts are different every night.
