Seventy-eight students from the King’s College’s William G. McGowan School of Business participated in the Ninth annual McGowan School of Business Forum held recently at the Westmoreland Club in Wilkes-Barre.
This year’s Forum provided the students mentoring and networking opportunities with 38 King’s alumni and other professionals, followed by a dinner and a presentation on ethics and social responsibility by a member of the Congregation of Holy Cross. The Forum’s location rotates between Philadelphia, New York and Wilkes-Barre.
This year’s keynote speaker was Brother Stephen J. LaMendola, C.S.C.,a member of the Moreau Province of The Brothers of Holy Cross. The ministries of the Brothers of Holy Cross are deeply committed to promoting social justice and peace in the world and as such reach out in a preferential way to the poor and oppressed.
The Forum is underwritten by, among others, the Commonwealth Health, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and CohnReznick. In addition, students received generous sponsorships from alumni and friends of King’s College.
The William G. McGowan School of Business is accredited by AACSB International, which represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide.
