Spirit Days are back!!! On Fridays students may wear any current Grace King shirt with uniform bottoms.

SLAM N JAM
SHIRTS ARE IN!!! SEE MS. MCCABE IN THE LIBRARY TO PICK UP YOUR SHIRT!! Slam n jam will be held on Saturday, April 11th at Coconut Beach in Kenner from 9 am to 2pm. Please come support our four Grace King teams that are competing! Remember without a t-shirt you need to pay $10.00.

LAST PEP RALLY
Friday, April 10th will be the last pep rally for the school year. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, April 8th to April 10th in front of the library for $2.00. All money will go to purchasing an electronic sign for the courtyard.

LAST DAY TO CHECK OUT BOOKS
Friday, April 10th will be the last to check out books. If you have a book it’s time to return it. Remember for every day a book is late you are accruing a .10 cent fine.

Washington Artillery Open House
For any Juniors and Seniors interested in joining the military, New Orleans own Washington Artillery will be holding an open house on Thursday, April 9th from 8am to 4pm. If you are interested please see Mr. Olivier in the guidance office for information.

Cheerleading Try-outs
Cheerleading tryouts will be held on April 16th and April 17th in the gym. Sign-up sheet will be in the discipline office!

Dance Team Try-Outs
Please pick up try out packets from Ms. Dodds in Room 211 before or after school or during lunch. We have a MANDATORY parent meeting for everybody trying out to break down cost, the try out process and team expectations on April 9th at 5:30pm in the black box theater. We then have a try out clinic Monday April 13th – Wednesday April 15th with tryouts on April 16th. Officer try outs are April 17th. Clinic runs 3:00pm-5:00pm with try outs starting at 3:30pm on Thursday going until they end. All events will take place in the gym.

Student Council Elections
Your vote will count on what activities your class participates in next school year. Student Council Elections will be held on Thursday, April 9th. During an AM activity schedule everyone will have the opportunity to listen to their class members’ speeches and then vote for the person you feel will do the best job in each office. Please pay attention to campaign signs around the school to know who is running for which office and find the time to talk to each candidate on what they can do to improve your school year next year.
Su voto contará con qué actividades participa su clase en el próximo año escolar. Elecciones del Consejo Estudiantil se llevará a cabo el jueves, 7 de marzo. Durante una AM horario de actividades todo el mundo tendrán la oportunidad de escuchar los discursos de sus miembros de la clase y luego votar por la persona que usted puede sentir hacer el mejor trabajo en cada oficina. Por favor, preste atención a la campaña señales alrededor de la escuela para saber quien es candidato a qué oficina y encontrar el tiempo para hablar con cada candidato en lo que pueden hacer para mejorar su año escolar el próximo año.

Grace King has a new sports APP for apple and android devices!!! To download and keep in touch with all the latest sports information, game times and scores go to your app store and download “NIAAA” select Louisiana, Metairie, Grace King. We are the first school in Louisiana to have the APP so it is easy to find us!!!!

Community Service Hours
Wednesday, April 15th will be the last for all students to turn in completed service hour papers. Once the deadline for Spring 2015 has passed the parish will no longer accept them. All forms need to be placed in the bin next to the gray doors in the guidance counselor’s office.
