At the above noted time, a stolen 2009 Dodge Avenger was involved in head on collision with a 1998 Ford Explorer at the off ramp of Hwy 2 and Hwy 363. The Dodge Avenger with 4 occupants were driving the wrong way and collided head on with the Ford Explorer.
A Moose Jaw RCMP officer observed the collision, ensured the two occupants of the Ford Explorer were okay (subsequently released from Moose Jaw Union Hospital).
The RCMP member and a witness extracted an injured male from the Dodge Avenger.
A 20 year old male driver of the stolen Avenger was treated at Moose Jaw Union Hospital and is currently in custody facing a number of Criminal Code charges from Moose Jaw RCMP, Moose Jaw Police Service and Regina Police Service. One passenger was flown to Regina General Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries. The stolen Avengers other two passengers have been released from hospital.
