LEGAL industry professionals in Killarney have been briefed on the local credit union’s entry into the business lending market following the launch of an exciting new loan product for micro, small and agri businesses.

The scheme, which is competitive in the market place, is targeted at tradespeople, retail, services, hospitality, manufacturing and the farming sector.

Killarney Credit Union CEO, Mark Murphy, said his team felt that it was an opportune time to launch the business loan product with growth signs in the economy and greater confidence among people to grow and develop businesses.

To spread word of the new initiative, the credit union hosted a business function for the Killarney Bar Association in the Killarney Plaza Hotel at which business development manager, Helen Courtney Power, gave a presentation on the business lending, home loans and bridging finance packages available to the solicitors to pass on to their clients.

Risk and compliance manager, Shane Foley, also addressed the guests on the issue of the latest developments in anti moneylending measures.
