Today is Mickey Mouse’s Birthday and he is 88 years old sorry 88 years young, fresh and the most adorable cartoon characters in the world.
Mickey Mouse is a funny animal cartoon character and the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company was created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks at the Walt Disney Studios in 1928. Mickey Mouse was voiced by Walt Disney, Jimmy MacDonald, Wayne Allwine, Les Perkins, Bret Iwan, Chris Diamantopoulos.
With red shorts, large yellow shoes and white gloves Mickey has become very popular. On November 18, 1978, in honor of his 50th anniversary, Mickey became the first cartoon character to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Mickey Mouse is a happy go guy who likes to have fun and adventure along with his friends Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto.
Some interesting facts about Mickey
• HOT DOG – Mickey Mouse’s first words in the short film “The Karnival Kid” released in 1929.
• Mickey Mouse made his official film debut on November 18, 1928, in the film “Steamboat Willie,” and has since become famous around the world.
• Walt initially named Mickey Mouse “Mortimer,” until Walt’s wife, Lily, suggested “Mickey” was a better choice.
• A Mickey Mouse comic strip, penned by Ub Iwerks, launched in January 1930, and at its height was printed in 40 newspapers in 22 countries.
• The first Mickey Mouse doll was designed in 1930.
