You can find plenty to do in Greenville over Memorial Day weekend.  Don’t miss the annual Gallabrae Highland Games or the monthly activities at Paris Mountain State Park. In addition, Greenville’s water parks open this weekend!

In addition, all active and retired military will receive free admission to The Children’s Museum of the Upstate on May 24-26 with valid military id. Free admission is for military adults only, who must  be accompanied by a child.

Memorial Day Weekend Events in Greenville

8 – 11 a.m. – Take Flight 5K to raise money for playground equipment at Downtown Airport Park

9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Greenville Travel Guide: Writing Workshop, free, must register

10 a.m. – Family Trail Run Program at Paris Mountain State Park, free with admission to the park (Note: Admission is $5 for ages 16 – 64, $3.25 for S.C. seniors and disabled persons, and $3 for children ages 6 – 15.)

11 a.m. & 1 p.m. – Story Time and More at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate

12 – 1:30 p.m. – Teen Scribbers at Simpsonville Library, must register

1 & 3 p.m. & Sunday, 1 & 3 p.m. – Roddey’s Rad Lab: Solar Science at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate, free with admission

1 p.m. – Water Animals: Suited to Swim at Paris Mountain State Park, must register

Monday (Memorial Day)

The Children’s Museum of the Upstate will be open on Monday, Memorial Day and will continue to be open on Mondays until Labor day.

The Greenville County Library will be closed Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 26 for Memorial Day.

The Greenville County Museum of Art will be open on Memorial Day.

The Upcountry History Museum will be open on Memorial Day.
