Clemson Area Summer Camps

 Clemson University Camp Voyager – Located at Clemson University’s Youth Learning Institute for ages 8 – 14. Technology meets outdoors at this overnight camp. Several session dates June and July.  http://www.clemson.edu/yli/pages/voyager3.php 

Clemson University’s Camp Hannon Adventures Camp – Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, choose from six day or ten day excursions for this extreme outdoor adventure camp. For ages 10-17, the type of camp is determined by the age of the child. Several session dates in June and July. http://www.clemson.edu/yli/pages/adventure3.php 

 Clemson University’s Project Wise- Located at Clemson University, this is an engineering, science and math overnight camp just for girls. For rising 6th – 8th graders, June 22nd – 27th.  http://www.clemson.edu/ces/wise/outreach/project_wise.html 

Clemson University Summer Scholars Program – Located at Clemson University, this is an overnight enrichment program for gifted 7th through 12th graders. A variety of classes are offered that are educational, recreational and cultural.  http://www.clemson.edu/summer/summer-science/ 

 Clemson University’s Camp Odyssey- Located at Clemson’s Outdoor Lab in Pendleton, this overnight camp offers many outdoor activities including archery, swimming, camping, and tower climbing. Clemson University’s Jaycee Camp Hope – Located at Clemson’s Outdoor Lab in Pendleton, this overnight camp is for adults and children age 7 or older with intellectual disabilities.  Clemson University Sports Camps- Clemson University offers a wide array of sports camps for all ages for baseball, basketball, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. See their website for details and dates. http://www.clemson.edu/summer/camps/#Athletic 

Walker Course Golf Clinics – Located in Clemson, the golf course will offer golf clinics Wednesday mornings through June and July. Contact the course for details.  864-656-0236 

The Arts Center of Clemson – Weekly camp sessions will run from June 16 – July 18 for ages 3-15 depending on the class type. Half and full day camps are available. The preschool class will be in the morning and classes for older children will be morning and afternoon.  http://explorearts.org/ 

Southern Wesleyan Summer Jazz Camp - Located in Central, this camp is for a large age range from middle school to adults. Running from June 17th – 21st, this camp can be overnight or for commuters. Southern Wesleyan Youth Sports Camps – Located in Central, SWU is offering summer sports camps for youth. Details are still being finalized for most sports. Overnight soccer camp will be offered July 13th – 15th for 11-16 year olds. Half day soccer camp will be offered July 21st – 24th for 4-11 year olds. Team soccer camp will be offered July 21st-24th in the evening.  Soccer camps are for boys and girls. Glazed Pottery Studio - Located in Clemson, art camps will be offered weekly through the summer at this pottery studio. Classes will be tuesday through thursdays, $100 per week per child. Some fun things the children will be creating include glass fusing, canvas painting, clay and pottery. There will be several camps to choose from. Camp Clemson – Located at Clemson Elementary Gymnasium, this day camp is for ages 6 – 12. This camp runs June 9th to August 1st, and is an all day camp.  You can select specific weeks to attend. http://www.cityofclemson.org/parks-and-recreation/camp-clemson 

Fain’s School of Dance – Located in Clemson, this dance school will have two summer dance camps. Running June 9th – 12th and June 16th – 19th are Disney Princess Camp for ages 3-5 and Barbie on Vacation Camp for ages 6 -8. Call 864-654-1253 to register. 

Clemson Little Theater – Summer drama workshops will be offered three weeks in July for grades 1 – 12. The week and class depend on the age of the child.  Classes include learning about the technical booth, backstage operations and being on stage. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)/LEGO Robotics Camp – Located at Clemson Elementary June 23rd-26th, this camp teaches children basic principles of robotics. There are four camps with a different theme, depending on the age of the child and experience level. This is a half day camp for 1st through 8th graders. Camp Cherith  In the Carolinas – Located at the Clemson University Outdoor Lab in Pendleton, this Christ centered overnight camp is July 27th – August 2nd. http://www.carolinacherith.com/cherith/index.html 

Camp Invention – Located at Southern Wesleyan University, this day camp will run from June 16th – June 20th. South Carolina Botanical Gardens Summer Camps – Garden Explorations Camp from July 7th – 11th, ages 6 to 12 can explore the gardens and all they have to offer. Hunt Cabin Time Travelers Camp from July 14th – 18th, ages 6 to 12 will learn survival skills from the 19th century such as building a cabin and tracking animals. Garden Creativity Camp from July 21st – 25th, ages 6 to 12 will cook, craft, paint and explore in the garden. http://www.clemson.edu/public/scbg/Calendar.html

 

Seneca Area Summer Camps

 

 Camp ONEOT - Located at the Foothills YMCA, this camp stands for Over Nighter Every Other Thursday. Every other week there will be a field trip included in the fee. This camp runs June 9th – August 15th for 4K through 8th grade. 9th and 10th grade will assist. Registration forms can be found on the website.  Camp Chatuga- Located in Mountain Rest, this is a traditional overnight camp for boys and girls in 1st through 11th grade.  Weekly sessions run through June and July.  Campers can choose their own activities from over 20 choices. http://www.campchatuga.com/#/home 

Walhalla Art Works – Located in Walhalla, Walhalla Art Works offers summer art classes for several age groups. Check their website for details. http://www.walhallaartworks.com/ 

Little Lambs – Located in Seneca, this preschool will be offering a summer fun program from June 3rd to August 7th.  Arts and crafts, story time, snacks and outside play will be provided at this half day program on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for 2 to 6 year olds. Foothills Dance Conservatory – Located in Seneca, this dance school is offering a large variety of summer camps for all ages. From June 9th – 27th, nationally recognized instructors will teach camp classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers. From July 7th – 18th, Music, Acting and Dance camp will be offered for ages 3 – 17. Times and dates for both camps depend on your age and experience. http://www.foothillsdance.com/ 

 Seneca High School Youth Sports Camps – Located at the high school, youth sports camps will be offered for 1st – 8th graders throughout June and July. Sports include baseball, basketball, wrestling, softball, track, football, volleyball, soccer and cheerleading. Walhalla Civic Auditorium – Located in Walhalla, the Civic Auditorium will host summer drama camps July 14th- 25th. Two classes will be offered. The morning class will be for Pre K through 4th grade and the afternoon class will be for 5th grade through 12th grade. There will be a final performance for family and friends. Anderson Area Summer Clemson Area Summer Camps

Anderson Arts Center – Located in Anderson, the Arts Center is offering a wide array of summer camp options for several age groups. The theme is Art Under the Big Top, and will run from June 9th – August 15th. There are half day camp offerings at the center for ages 4 – 12, as well as full day offerings at the center and at off campus locations for ages 6 -12. http://www.andersonarts.org/ 

Anderson Area YMCA – The YMCA will be offering two camps, the traditional summer day camp and the Kids Zone Camp. The dates will be finalized in April. http://www.andersonareaymca.org/

Anderson After School – Located in Anderson, this is a full day summer camp for rising kindergarteners through 8th graders. The camp runs June 2nd through August 15th and includes daily free creative play as well as daily field trips for fun and physical fitness. Anderson University Centrikid Camp - Located in Anderson, this is a spiritual camp that runs June 16th- July 25th. Rising 3rd through 6th graders will participate in recreational activities as well as bible study. http://centrikid.com/location/anderson/

Winshape Camp – Being held at Coventant Baptist Church in Anderson, this day camp runs July 21st – 25th. This camp combines sports, recreation, art, Bible study and worship for completed 1st through 6th graders. http://www.winshape.org/camps/

Anderson School of Dance – Ballet Camp will be held at Anderson School of dance from July 14th - 18th for 4 to 6 year olds. The theme is Under The Big Top. There will be a short performance at noon on that Friday. Dance Camp will be held at Anderson School of Dance July 21st – 25th for 7 – 12 year olds. The theme is Leaps and Bounds. Marissa McFarland is a stay at home mom of an adventurous four year old boy. Their family enjoys venturing out together and exploring the great outdoors.
