Southmedic’s injection molding facility houses state-of-the-art technology to produce high-quality, precision components. SouthMedics has a Class 100,000 clean room injection molding. Therefore you can have peace of mind that our product meets the requirements you need.
Our SentioCHEWS are also made in Ontario, Canada. Our SentioCHEWS are more durable than competing products on the market that are made of generic silicone. It took us two years to design just the right shapes and find the safe, durable material used to make our second chew necklace. The SentioCHEWS are also made of a material that is FDA compliant, BPA, latex and metal free.
LANYARDS
We have two choices in lanyard for our KidCompanions Chewelry. Our colorful lanyards are 100% soft cotton. They are cute, colorfast, and comfortable! The second choice is our undyed 100% organic cotton lanyards that are non-allergenic. Our undyed cotton lanyards are more suitable for fabric chewers.
Both choices are durable and easily washable. They come in 18 or 20 inches. You can buy these separately as well as a 24 inch lanyard.
The SentioStyles 24 inch breakaway lanyards on our SentioCHEWS are REAL made-in-the-USA Tactical Paracord and a suitable length and strength for youth and adults!
After requests from kids, parents and health professionals we have designed SentioStyles lanyards for those tough and busy growing kids!. The dozen or so AWESOME color choices are just an added bonus. SentioStyles lanyards can also be bought separately for replacements or to match clothing. They can be used with other pendants like keys, ID card, etc.
BREAKAWAY
Our custom made breakaway on KidCompanions Chewelry is small and lays flat. It was designed specifically for children and conforms to ASTM toy safety standard! Though not meant to be chewed, it is also BPA, lead and phthalate free.
On the SentioStyles lanyards a sturdy barrel breakaway is the centrepiece and takes a hefty tug before releasing as a safety mechanism. It pops open to keep you safe if needed and pops easily back together again.
The clasp is tough and the paracord is strong, but they are not meant to be chewed.
HOW TO WASH OUR CHEW NECKLACES
Our pendants and lanyards are dishwasher safe on the top shelf and can be washed in a washing machine. I would place them in a mesh bag in the washing machine to prevent tangling and in the enclosure for small items in the dishwasher. Wash them easily by hand in the evening and they will be dry next morning.
TIP: One clever mom whose child DID NOT want to remove his KidCompanions Chewelry would give her child a bath and, as you can guess, the chew necklace was washed at the same time. Eh! what can I say, “Roll with the punches and don’t sweat the small stuff!”
