Filipino dance group El Gamma Penumbra joins singers Gwyneth Dorado, Gerphil Flores and hip-hop crew Junior New System at the grand finals of “Asia’s Got Talent”.

During their audition, they made a mind-blowing performance, which earned them positive response from all of the four judges; singer and dancer Vanness Wu, music producer David Foster, Indonesian rock icon Anggun and Sporty Spice of Spice Girls Melanie C.  Without hesitation, Anggun  pressed the “golden buzzer” for the group, which earned them a direct pass to the semifinals.

But their performance during the third and last night  of the semifinals on April 30, was at a whole new level.

All of the four judges were visibly awed by their performance and the studio audience were once again captivated by how the group delivered a heartwarming story through their shadow play. It was another flawless and touching performance from the Filipino dancers who danced to the tune of “One Day“.

Anggun, felt so proud of her “golden buzzer” choice and she couldn’t stop herself from becoming emotional. Once again, El Gamma Penumbra touched her heart.

“The Hitman” David Foster said Anggun was right when she hit the “golden buzzer” for them. He got the chance to come outside of his box and see something that was so moving and magical.

Vanness and Melanie both agreed the group stepped up their game.

Among all eight semifinalist including Vanness Wu’s “golden buzzer” choice, Time Machine, the group’s shadow play definitely stood out. Their performance earned them the last and much-coveted “golden buzzer”. This brings them straight to the grand finals next week.

After the judges announce that El Gamma Penumbra is their final “golden buzzer” choice, the group became emotional, with some members shedding tears of happiness.

A representative said they were very overwhelmed of the judge’s last “golden buzzer“. They promised to take it as their inspiration to give a more meaningful performance.
