Another milestone placed Filipino Math wizards on the top rank at the recently concluded Singapore International Mathematics Olympiad Competition(SIMOC).
A proof that Filipinos can really make it big was contained in the news release of the Mathematics Development Academy of the Philippines (MathDAP), that out of the 338 participants in the Math Olympiad, the Philippine team bagged a total of 63 medals with 14 gold, 20 silver and 29 bronze; making them reign among the 11 participating contingents.
The Philippine team is composed of students from different schools in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Filbert Ephraim Wu, a nine-year-old Filipino student of MGC New Life Christian Academy in Taguig, stood out among the rest of the participants after garnering a perfect score in the competition.
