On May 11, Lea Michele remembered Cory Monteith’s 32nd birthday by sharing a black-and- white photo of them laughing together via microblogging site, Twitter.

“The biggest heart and most beautiful smile. In all of our hearts. We love you so. Happy Birthday,” she tweeted.

Michele’s post have been retweeted by more than 116, 000 and became a favorite to more than 144, 000 followers.

Monteith and Michele dated until the actor’s untimely demise in 2013 due to heroin overdose. The two were also sweethearts in Fox’s hit television series, Glee, where they played the roles of Finn Hudson and Rachel Berry, respectively.

The 31-year old Glee star was found dead at a Vancouver hotel in July last year months after he was admitted to a rehabilitation facility for drug and substance abuse.

On Glee’s 5th season, the show’s creators and stars paid tribute to him on “The Quarterback” episode. The heartbreaking episode featured the life of Finn Hudson and how well-loved he was.

“We wrote it because we loved Cory. So the episode is about how all the people loved Cory and find it really hard to go on with the show so to speak, but that’s the whole point of this show,” Glee’s creator, Ryan Murphy told E! News.

Lea Michele recently released her album, “Louder” which featured a song dedicated to Monteith. The 27-year old singer and actress told Billboard that “If you say so” reflects the most devastating moment in her life, Cory’s death.

“It will always represent the most devastating thing that’s ever happened to me in my whole life. But at the same time, music is therapy. It’s been therapy for me in the entire grieving process and in my entire life,” she told Billboard.

Michele also published a book entitled “Brunette Ambition” which will be available in stores this May.
