MANILA, Philippines – Starlet Krista Miller admitted at a press conference held on Friday afternoon that she went to meet the notorious leader of Sigue Sigue Sputnik Gang in his hospital ward, but only to offer him condo units.

She decided to speak for her side of the story after receiving hurtful comments and messages in social media regarding the issue.

Miller denied the allegations that she went to his hospital room to deliver drugs or give sexual favors to the convicted drug lord Ricardo Camata on May 31.

She explained that she works as real estate agent. She heard of Camata being a high-profile so she went to visit him, with her talent manager along, and offered him condominium units in hopes that she will meet her quota.

(I have no drugs with me that time. I just brought brochures of projects to present Mr. Camata.)

She shared that her family was shocked after her name was linked in the issue. However, she believes that her family knows the truth and they were aware of her works as an actress and as a real estate agent. Miller also explained that she has been in the red line for two months as she was not able to meet her quota.

(I don’t need to that because there are several clients sending indecent proposals, but I am not that kind of girl. I’m working hard and clean. I will have no face to show my parents if I will accept those indecent proposal. And my sales would have increased highly if I had accepted all those proposals.)

“Pero kailangan ko pong maalis sa red line kaya sobra po talaga ‘yong effort ko na makabenta as long as wala akong masamang gagawin.” (But I have to get out of the red line, that’s why I’m taking so much effort to make sales, as long as I don’t do anything bad.)

( This is the reason why I went to the hospital, to convince Mr. Camata to buy condo units from me.)

(My transaction with Mr. Camata is purely business. The talent coordinator who gave us the ‘sagala project’ inside the National Bilibid Prison told me that Mr. Camata is a high-profile. That’s when I decided to offer him condo units, and I asked him- the talent coordinator- if he could help me convince Mr. Camata then I will just give him a referral fee.)

(That’s how we do it in this line of work. That’s why the talent coordinator was with me when I visited in the hospital.)

“’Yong issue po na bawal pala siyang bisitahin dahil hindi ako family member, at wala siyang clearance from the DOJ na ma-confine, hindi ko po alam ‘yon. (The fact, that I am not allowed to visit him as I am not a family member, and he has no clearance from DOJ to be confined, I had no idea.)

(I repeat, I just went there as a real estate agent selling condo units to a potential client.)

(My office is aware of my transactions because we are required to submit reports thrice a week to monitor our sales.)

(Another issue was that I wasn’t checked before I entered the room, I have no idea about it. In the first place, the jail guards should have initiated it since it’s part of their duty

She clarified that she is not a drug user, and has no illegal involvement either.

In fact, may pumasok po no’ng first na inayos ‘yong kanyang swero. (I also want to clarify the issue that I was inside Mr. Camata’s room for 10 minutes. We didn’t do anything dirty. In fact, a nurse went inside to fix the drip, he was there the whole time as I was presenting my offer.)

Miller said she has nothing to hide and she’s willing to cooperate with the authorities to clear her name from the issue.

Last week, the Department of Justice suspended 12 New Bilibid Prison jail guards, along with Chief Supt. Fajardo Lansangan.
