Trying to make this short - I have a 2012 Kia Soul, approximately 40,000 miles on it. In December I brought it to local oil change place usual maintenance. We then then drove the Kia to Shawnee, KS from my home town of Covington, Louisiana for the Christmas holidays. On the way to Kansas, we decided to stay the night in Springfield Missouri. I say the night but we got there at 3:00 a.m. and left at 8:00 to get back on the road. Car work great the entire trip. We drove 3 more hours to Shawnee - everything working fine. We get to family's house, visit for an hour or so then I volunteered to take my sister in law to the store. We went to one store and then headed to the next store and the heater quit working. Not knowing much about vehicles, I didn't think anything of it. No warning lights or change in temperature. We then took it straight back to the house we were staying. The homeowner offered for us to put the car in the garage for the night which we did. Christmas morning we went to check on the car and it would not start. I then called KIA roadside assistance for towing service the next day. That morning when the tow truck was there my husband tried to start the car, which it started and drove it onto the tow truck. Later that day, I get a call from the Shawnee Kia saying that my car froze (?) and cracked the radiator and engine and that it would not be under warranty because of maintenance. Of course later to find out that the oil change place in fact added antifreeze the week before, how could the car freeze? When it was in the garage? The Shawnee Kia wanted me to pay $6,000 or gladly sell me a new car...Geez. We decided to tow the car back to Louisiana and have the local dealership look at it. Well its been just about 3 weeks and the local dealer broke the car down and noted it was a radiator failure and ordered new parts under warranty....(thank God). Now I get a phone call saying the car will not go into gear.... the car never gave me issues before. Any ideas? they have placed a call into the Kia tech support, but at this point I am wore out emotionally with Kia. It cost me $1,200 to tow it home when the Kia in Kansas refused service.....HELP
