After years of planning and executed one of the most talked-about annual gospel music tribute events, the BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards Luncheon, the popular performing rights organization is finally releasing the jaw-dropping powerhouse performances from this year’s event on CD.
BMI has partnered with eOne Music to release BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Live 2013, a 10-track collection of live performances in tribute to the careers of Edwin Hawkins, Tramaine Hawkins and Kurt Carr, who were honored at this year’s annual luncheon during Stellar Awards weekend in January 2013.
Standout performances include the project’s lead single, “Holy One,” featuring Anaysha, “I Need Your Spirit (Fall Fresh On Me),” featuring twin brothers Jonathan and Jason Nelson, and “He Brought Me,” featuring Yolanda Adams and CeCe Winans.
