The Department of Transportation is informing Oahu motorists of this weekend’s schedule of road work.
H-1 FWY.:
AIRPORT
Left lane closures on the H-1 Fwy. in the eastbound direction between the Hickam AFB/Naval Base Off-Ramp (Exit 15) and Airport Off-Ramp (Exit 16) now through 9 p.m. Sunday, June 1, for viaduct deck repairs.
Airport Viaduct improvements include concrete deck replacements, expansion joint repairs, and pavement restriping. Work is located between the Pearl Harbor Interchange and the Keehi Interchange.
WAIMALU TO WAIPAHU
Two left lanes closed on the H-1 Fwy. in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) from 11 p.m., Saturday, May 31, through noon, Sunday, June 1, for road resurfacing.

Improvements for the PM Contraflow include highway deck repairs and road widening from Waimalu to Waikele. An extra lane will be added from the Waimalu On-Ramp to the Waipahu Off-Ramp and from the H-1/H-2 Split to the Waikele Off-Ramp.
HONOLULU
Full closures on the H-1 Fwy. in the eastbound direction between Middle St. and Ward Ave. Overpass from Sunday, June 1, through Friday, June 6, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for the H-1 Rehabilitation Project.

The H-1 Rehabilitation project will upgrade the freeway sub-surface and asphalt to provide a longer-lasting, smooth riding surface, provide an additional lane in each direction, install upgraded lighting, improve drainage, and install glare screens along the median.

Lane closures on the H-1 Fwy. in the westbound direction between the Houghtailing Off-Ramp (Exit 20B) and the Likelike Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 20A) on Sunday, June 1, through Friday, June 6, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign maintenance.
NIMITZ HWY.:
HONOLULU
Multiple lane closures on Nimitz Hwy. in the eastbound direction between Valkenburgh St. and Aolele St., now through 9 p.m., Sunday, June 1, for viaduct repairs.
PALI HWY.:
NUUANU
Tunnels closed on the Pali Hwy. in the southbound direction between Waokanaka St. and Castle Junction, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 1, for road maintenance.
KANEOHE
Lane closures on Pali Hwy. in both directions at the Castle Junction Intersection, now to 2 p.m. Saturday for road maintenance.
ALA MOANA BLVD.:
KAKAAKO
Lane closure on Ala Moana Blvd. in the westbound direction between Kamakee St. and Queen St., 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Sunday, June 1, through Friday, June 6, for utility installations.

VINEYARD BLVD.:

Lane closures on Vineyard Blvd. in the eastbound direction between the Pali Hwy. and Punchbowl St. now through 5 a.m. Monday, June 2, for bus pad installations.
The Vineyard Blvd. Resurfacing Project will resurface 10.5 lane miles from Palama St. to the H-1 Fwy. On-Ramp. The repairs include sidewalks, curbs, gutters, installing bus pads, replacing existing traffic signal heads, energy-efficient, LED optical units, extending left turn lanes at the Palama St. and Liliha St. intersections, and landscaping.
