It’s the eighth year country music fans will be gathering in Indio for Stagecoach, but the first time Thomas Rhett will be there to perform. As an up and coming artist with newly found fame, we have the scoop on Rhett’s life, love, and music!
Like most of us, Rhett spent his high school years looking into anatomy or business as a future career path, never thinking that music would be his end all be all. But with the blood of singer-songwriter, Rhett Atkins, in his veins, Rhett eventually had no choice but to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Starting a career in music was nothing but smooth sailing for Rhett. He acquired a song writing deal that landed one of his songs on Jason Aldean‘s My Kinda Party, a double platinum piece.
Shortly after, he made a home at Valory Music Co. (a.k.a. Big Machine Label Group), with names such as Brantley Gilbert and Reba McEntire.
Rhett’s music is a blend of country, rock and even a little bit of hip hop that’s inspired by his life in faith and love. In 2012, Rhett married his childhood crush Lauren Gregory who he had admired since the first grade. In an interview with Taste of Country, Rhett raves over his wife and the importance of honesty in marriage. Can you say southern gent?
