Vondom, Andreu World and Artifort dished up outstanding furniture collections designed for hospitality venues at Milan this year and we now have their latest table and seating solutions in store.
Here’s what’s new at KE-ZU.
Vondom has three new collections that work in a variety of hospitality styles and settings both indoors and outdoors. The Brooklyn Stool is designer Eugeni Quitllet’s ode to the majestic New York City bridge for which it is named. Based on straight lines and curves, the Brooklyn Stool feels familiar, but it’s all new resolution that’s modern, timeless and conveniently stackable. Available in a range of colours and 100 per cent recyclable, it’s a sophisticated addition to any hospitality project.
Jorge Pensi’s Delta collection includes armchairs and occasional, dining and bar tables. With angular forms, the collection has a strong identity and is available in seven different colours, including pistachio and mostaza. Adding to its versatility, the chairs are lightweight and the tables come in three different heights with collapsible and fixed tops to suit a variety of uses and settings.
The name says it all when it comes to the Spritz collection. Designed by Archirivolto for Vondom, Spritz includes a chair, armchair, stool and table that are fresh and simple and perfectly at home in hospitality and residential settings. The slatted formation of the seating and table surfaces hint at beachside wooden fences and the legs are angled and tapering.
Andreu World was of course a smash hit at both NeoCon and Milan this year and its Alya collection certainly deserves all the recognition it received. The magical trio of Lievore Altherr Molina designed the Alya dining chair with compact proportions and an enveloping character that embraces and invites users to sit and relax comfortably.
The Duos dining chair by Jasper Morrison for Andreu World is characterised by formal synthesis and functionality. It’s available as an armchair or stackable chair and its wood frame is offered with variations of wood, upholstery or mesh seating. It’s adaptable and ergonomic and while being robust and durable, the collection still maintains its lightness of design and aesthetic appeal.
Rounding out our new hospitality products is the Palladio collection. Artifort has a reputation for outstanding furniture and talked-about design and Palladio is no exception. It is a minimalist collection of tables with an intriguing focus on the leg and surface joints and the contrast between the two. The tables are simple geometric forms but in bold colours they have a playful and expressive dimension, especially in their layered iterations.
