Just thought I’d share a few quick pictures of the kitchen with you today! I don’t have much in the way of decorations yet, but we did update the existing black appliances to stainless steel KitchenAid appliances. Next I would love to add some fun pictures of some of the sweet treats I’ve photographed over the years, lol!

Before

Here’s what it looked like before.

And here’s the after! This is seriously one of my favorite spots in the house now. Good thing because I spend a lot of time here, lol!

We replaced our smooth electric cooktop with KitchenAid’s 30-Inch 4-Burner Gas Rangetop. SO excited to be cooking with gas again! I grew up on gas, but basically learned how to cook on electric and have been cooking on electric for the past 12 years. It was a bit of an adjustment at first, but I got used to it much quicker than I thought and I love it now. Plus this range is just gorgeous! Every time I walk by I have to run my hand over it. :)

And here is the Steam-Assist Combination Microwave Wall Oven. Up top is a convection microwave that can also be used as a second convection oven — you can bake cookies, frozen pizza, even steam vegetables in it! It has easy presets so you can just choose the food you want to cook and it will it give you instructions on how to prepare the food and automatically adjust the time and heat settings to make sure your food comes out perfectly. It also has settings for melting and softening butter and the softened butter comes out perfect every time. It’s not like my old microwave which would give me a mostly-solid stick with some completely melted holes, lol!

On the bottom is a Steam-Assist convection oven. Convection helps speed cooking and cooks food more evenly. But usually you have to adjust the temperate and time yourself to cook with convection. But KitchenAid ovens have a unique EasyConvect™ Conversion System, so all you do is put in the regular time and temp, and it will automatically adjust the time and temp for you. My cookies come out perfect every single time. :)

The steam-assist is a really neat feature that cooks with steam. It keeps roasts juicy and cakes moist. Again, all you have to do are use the presets. You don’t have to figure out how to use it! :) There’s no learning curve here. :) I’ve found Steam-Assist is awesome for taco nights. I just roll up the tacos and place them in a baking pan, like enchiladas, and use the “vegetable” preset. The tacos come out impossibly soft and steaming!

And here’s a view looking the other way into the kitchen.

For the fridge, we went with a Counter-Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator. Absolutely love that it is counter-depth. Our old refrigerator stuck out further and made that walkway in between the fridge and sink really cramped. I also love side-by-side fridges. Are you a side-by-side or freezer-on-bottom kinda fridge person?

And here is my favorite feature of this fridge!! It automatically fills a glass with water and stops automatically! You can change this amount to any number in ounces. Love knowing how much water I’m drinking throughout the day. And it’s perfect for my favorite waffle recipe (okay FINE it’s a mix!) which calls for 5 ounces of water.

Our old dishwasher was on its last leg. Hardly anything ever came clean, and we were having to hand wash or rewash most everything. When we upgraded to KitchenAid I was so excited to finally get a working dishwasher! This one comes with a neat top third rack for spoons, spatulas, and other utensils. Really opens up a ton of space for other things on the bottom two racks.

A view of the “baking station.” ;)

And a peek into the kitchen from the living room.
