**Job Duties:**Establish systems to continually improve the PM (preventative maintenance) system, critical spares and parts inventory, as well as organize and direct the daily activities in the maintenance department to achieve efficient productivity. Prepare 5 year Capital PM (preventative maintenance) plan and update plan based on input from department managers. Maintain long term, site expansion plans and drawings for yearly assessments with the Business teams for new product introductions. Develop process and product flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams and specifications for the installation of equipment to support the manufacture of new products, or to improve existing products and processes. Utilize computer programs that control and/or interface with manufacturing processes. Programming requirements include relay ladder logic development using APT and human-machine interface screens using Intellution's FIX software. Develop procedures for new production scale processes to include equipment procedures and parameters and process control points. Assure equipment installations comply with Kerry, Regulatory and Environmental standards. Validate newly development processes and procedures for mechanical/operational reliability, consistency and repeatability for final acceptance into the production process. Assist in troubleshooting the production process to eliminate production losses due to contamination, poor functionality, equipment malfunction and human error. Evaluate existing production processes to optimize product yields, equipment operations, energy efficiencies, human resources and chemical conservation programs. Support the software that coordinates the maintenance department work orders, purchase orders and spare parts inventory. Adhere to all safety procedures along with active participation in Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality Management and SSHE Programs. Assure all personnel in Engineering/Maintenance are trained in operation and safety procedures. Assure grounds and facilities are maintained in peak operating condition, as well as assure facility security by continually assessing fire protection, alarm systems and access points to prevent damage to equipment structure and personnel.
**Qualifications:**

**Requirements:**The position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and five(5) years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry. In the alternative, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and three (3) years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, the applicant must have experience with: Fluid/Power dynamics; Thermodynamics; Statistical analysis.
