**Description and Responsibilities** **:**

Reporting to the Director of Market Research and Consumer Insights, the Manager MRCI-Snack, will be responsible for the development and execution of the market research and consumer insight activities that support the snacking platform at Kerry. You will be the key source of consumer and market understanding working across the food and beverage strategic marketing teams and with multiple functions of the organization including RD&A, marketing communications and sensory to develop and implement strategies for growing Kerry’s market share in the snacking industry.

You will apply your expertise in consumer and market research, syndicated data, and application of advanced analytics to the full breadth of the segment’s strategy development, sales and marketing activities. You will utilize an arsenal of secondary and primary research sources to identify category level market trends and consumer insights that will lead to the development of go to market strategies, products, services and platforms that will drive organic growth across all end use markets for the snack category across both foodservice and retail channels.

**Description & Responsibilities:**

+ Lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of snacking strategies and innovation platforms to deliver solid business results.

+ Identify consumer and market trends/insights and work across functions to advise in the development of new snacking platforms and technologies that fit into the Kerry portfolio

+ Pull together and synthesize market trends and consumer insights from diverse primary and secondary research studies to develop short/long term strategies that tell a compelling story.

+ Provide data driven input into the competitive snacking landscape across both the foodservice and retail channels.

+ Identify, communicate and drive actionable insights derived from both primary and secondary research at all levels of the organization

+ Manage, and present findings on a broad range of quantitative and qualitative research. This includes recommending methods, questionnaire design, data analysis and most importantly story development to support strategic initiatives.

**Qualifications** **:**

+ 4-7 years business experience with a minimum of 2 years in the snacking industry

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Market Research or business related field. Master’s degree in a related field or MBA preferred

+ Market research & analysis experience utilizing both retail and foodservice data systems like Nielsen, IRI, NPD, EuroMonitor, Mintel, and others

+ Experience designing and managing both quantitative and qualitative primary research methods required

+ Extensive experience pulling together the story objectively from the data

+ Experience working with research agencies that carry-out research

+ Excellent critical thinking, analytical and communication skills – ability to understand clients’ business and their business needs

+ Ability to interact with leaders within the organization

+ Quality & process oriented: focused on research quality, timeliness, and effective research management

+ Self-directed: proactive, strong sense of accountability, independent

+ Flexible: willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change

+ Exceptional interpersonal skills: cultivating effective communication within the research team, internal business partners, and research agencies

+ Track record of successful project management across multiple projects, including budget, timeline, tradeoffs/priorities, and supplier management/relationships

+ Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel skills, SPSS a plus

+ Social media savvy and engaged across different on-line platforms

+ Passionate about the food and beverage industry

+ Excellent oral presentation skills
