**Description and Responsibilities** **:**

The HR Manager will be responsible for providing full human resources generalist support to assigned clients. Such support will include recruitment and retention, HR program administration, employee and labor relations, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, coaching and counseling, policy interpretation and application and may include management of other HR employees.

The HR Manager leads the HR activities and team in a large/strategic manufacturing site or is the HR contact for an assigned professional level client group.

Influencing and Coaching

As part of the leadership team, form solid working relationships, based on thorough knowledge of the business and HR procedures with the functional/departmental/site leaders.

Partner with Plant Manager/Client Leader to assess and implement an optimal organizational design to support business growth.

Coach leaders on appropriate and proactive management techniques and make timely and informed decisions on when to escalate issues.

Participate in the development of the Strategic Site plan and the people aspects of this plan.

Workplace investigations

Conduct investigations as required and make recommendations on follow up/disciplinary action

Safety/Workers Compensation/Leave of Absence/Safety Committee

Active management of all WC and RTW cases including management of the interactive process as required

Leave of absence system updates and active management of employee’s leaves

Unemployment Insurance Process

Respond to all UI claims as required by state law

Act as primary contact for vendor to provide additional information for UI claims

Ensure that vendor termination notices are properly filled out and accurately reflect the circumstances of the termination

Attend UI hearings on behalf of the facility.

Lawson Process

Fully competent in navigating through the Lawson system, including ESS/MSS and core HR recordkeeping.

Full inquiry capability and provide oversight to HR record maintenance for the salaried employees in assigned facility

Coordinate changes to employee records with the HR Service Center.

Benefits

Responsible for ensuring that annual Open Enrollment is completed successfully at assigned location.

Conduct information/benefit meetings with assigned employee groups.

Coordinate and provide visible support of all company-sponsored wellness activities.

Learning & Development

Establish full competence with LMS and Alchemy systems; ensure that assigned employees are properly coded and records are accurate

Assist in communication and administration of Educational Assistance and Scholarship program for assigned location(s).

Recruiting

Partner with Plant Manager/Client Leader to develop workforce plan and recruitment strategies to include proactive recruitment on hard to fill or known upcoming vacancies.

Identify and apply multiple recruiting strategies to ensure a timely and appropriate response to fill open positions. Minimize time to fill open requisitions while improving the fit of new hires.

Full competence in iCims recruitment management system

Responsible for launching/managing/updating all open requisitions for assigned location.

Communications/Engagement

Responsible for development of On-Site and/or local newsletter content

Either serve or partner as site communications champion and management of the communication flow within the facility.

Manage employee engagement activities for the site including hourly and admin staff such as roundtables, employee events and social activities.

Participate on daily GEMBA walks and presence on the floor across all shifts.

HR Programs

Analyze, interpret, develop, and implement HR policies, programs, and procedures as appropriate

Full knowledge of and ensure compliance with Kerry HR Policies and Programs at assigned location.

Acts as company spokesperson for new program deployment at assigned locations

Provides objective and timely feedback when new programs/changes to existing programs are introduced.

Participate in and/or lead projects as assigned.

Competence in Kerry policies governing employment terminations, including termination practices

Champion the Talent Management process at the site and partner with managers to develop and update development plans for employees

Support leaders with the performance and development and pay planning processes.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements: EEOC/AA, ADAA, FMLA and other leaves in addition to any state specific requirements

Leadership

Coach and develop HR team members and ensure strong development plans are in place to enable movement to future/larger roles within the company.

**Qualifications** **:**

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business or related field. 5+ years’ experience in a generalist human resources function, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate across all levels of the siteConfident presentation and public speaking capabilitiesFamiliarity with Microsoft Office Suite of productsEasy to approach with the ability to engage employees and be a strong employee advocate whilst maintaining company valuesProfessional, trustworthy and hardworking demeanor.Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and respect.
